UVEX recalls FUNRIDE ski helmet

IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING : Due to a routine internal quality control we have become aware that some “funride” ski helmets might have a manufacturing defect!

This defect may lead to an insufficient shock absorption and resistance to penetration and therefore may cause serious injuries when falling.
Your ski helmet is identified as a “funride” helmet if it has a central venting slider with two directional arrows:

In case you own a uvex ski helmet “funride” please stop using it immediately.  Please return it to the retailer it was purchased from for full refund of the purchase price. Please contact the distributor prior to returning the helmet.
